Dr. Sgarlato is a board certified and licensed doctor of audiology. Her experience spans over 30 years in the health care field. As one of the experts in the field of auditory processing disorders Dr. Sgarlato lectures across the country to community groups and organizations on topics such as “Brain Fitness As We Age”, “Improving Brain Function in Children and Adults”, “What is an Auditory Processing Disorder and How is it Different from A.D.H.D.”., “Autism: Diagnosis and Treatment from an Hearing Specialist’s Perspective”, “Therapeutic Interventions to Improve the Brain’s Internal Clock"
Dr. Sgarlato is certified in several innovative therapeutic programs for children and adults including “Lindamood-Bell”, “Fast ForWord”, "Interactive Metronome“, "The Listening Program” , "REI" and others. She is a course lecturer for the certification course on the "Interactive Metronome" program. Dr. Sgarlato also serves on the Clinical Advisory Board of Interactive Metronome.

Dr. Sgarlato integrates the latest advances in brain research with innovative programs and therapies. to treat various problems and deficits.
